De zesde week
The sixth week
De pups zijn ook deze week druk bezig geweest met de
socialisatie. Vele ritjes met de auto, nieuwe omgevingen, korte wandelingetjes
door het bos, bezoekje aan de dierenarts, waar ze gelijk helemaal zijn nagekeken
en zijn gevaccineerd. En als hoogtepunt zijn we naar de basisschool geweest.
Eerst zijn Genie en Magic geweest om samen met de dierenarts de kinderen uit te
leggen hoe ze honden moeten benaderen. Nadat alle kinderen Genie en Magic hadden
geaaid, hebben we de pups gehaald. Een groot succes. De kinderen vonden het
geweldig en krijsten het uit van plezier, maar ze gingen verder perfect met de
pups om. En de pups hadden grote lol!! Ze renden door het lokaal heen, werden
overal geaaid en geknuffeld en sommigen probeerden dan gelijk bij de kinderen op
schoot te kruipen.
Eten en groeien gaat nog steeds gestaag door. Ook brokjes worden met smaak
weggewerkt, heel veel Rodi-vlees en af en toe nog een slokje melk bij Magic. En gelukkig vinden ze Rodi-worst ook heerlijk, zodat we daarmee de puppies op hun plek konden houden voor de staan-foto's!!
The pups have been busy with the socialisation this week, just like the weeks before. Many rides in the car, new environments, short walks through the forest, a visit to the veterinarian, where they had a complete check up and they got their shots. And best of all, we went to primary school with the pups! Genie and Magic went first and they taught, together with the vet, the children how they should approach dogs. When all kids had stroked Genie and Magic, we brought the pups into the classroom. A huge success! The children loved it and shouted and yelled, but they handled the pups perfectly. The pups had big fun! They ran through the room, were stroked and cuddled and some puppies immediatly tried to climb at the lap's of the kids.
The pups are still eating and growing very well. Besides Rodi-meat, they also like kibble very much and they still get some milk now and then from Magic. Luckily the pups also love the Rodi-sausages, so we could use that to stack the puppies for their stand-photos!!
