En opnieuw een lekker drukke week voor de pups en voor ons. We begonnen gelijk goed en zijn met de pups naar een basisschool geweest. De jongste klas, rond 4 a 5 jaar oud, heeft na een lesje over het benaderen van honden kennis gemaakt met Magic en Dazzle. Vervolgens konden de pupjes naar binnen en het was grote pret! Zowel de kinderen als de pups waren hartstikke dapper en genoten ervan.

Woensdag was het tijd voor de puppytest en de nest evaluatie van de ASCN. Het blijft mooi om te zien hoe de pups reageren. Gelukkig was het veelal bevestiging van de indrukken die wij al van de pups hadden. De volgende dag was ook gelijk de ogentest voor de pups, waar gelukkig alle pups vrij van erfelijke oogafwijkingen bleken te zijn (met een paar geringe MPPs). Met de extra informatie van de puppytest en de goede resultaten van de oogtest, konden de knopen eindelijk worden doorgehakt en besloten welke pup waarheen gaat. Zowel de nieuwe eigenaren als wij zijn erg blij met de beslissingen en ik ben er van overtuigd dat de pups dat ook zullen zijn!
Natuurlijk stonden er ook nog wat andere uitjes op het programma en zijn de pups mee geweest naar de dierenwinkel waar ze o.a. kennis hebben gemaakt met konijnen, en op wandelingetjes in het park, bos en op het strand. De pups lopen al lekker mee, ontmoeten open en vrij andere mensen en honden en genieten van al het nieuws.
Volgende week komt de laatste pupdate van deze serie en zullen de pups hun nieuwe eigenaren voorstellen.

And again a nice and busy week for the pups and us. We started out good with a visit to the primary school. The youngest class, around 4 - 5 years of age, met Magic and Dazzle after a short lesson about how to approach dogs. Now they were ready to meet the pups and what fun it was! Both the kids and the pups were really brave and had a blast together.
Wednesday, it was time for the puppy tests and the litter evaluation of the Dutch Australian Shepherd Club. It is always so much fun to see how the pups react in the test. It was mostly a confirmation of our impressions of the pups personalities and structure. The next day, the pups went to the ophthalmologist for their first official eye check. Fortunately all pups are free from hereditary eye diseases (with a few notations of slight PPMs). With the extra information of the puppy test and the good results of the eye test, we could finally make the decisions which pup will go where. Both the new owners and we are very happy with the decisions and I'm convinced that the pups will be so too!
Of course, there were also some other trips planned this week. The pups have visited the pet shop, where they have met rabbits, other rodents and encountered a lot of people and new smells. They also went along on short walks in the park, forest and on the beach. The pups walk along pretty well, openly meet new dogs and people and enjoy all the new stuff.
