5th week

Een nieuwe week met nieuwe uitdagingen. Het is deze week wel warm en de pups hebben een 'tropen rooster' met meer activiteit in de ochtend en avond en 's middags meer slapen in de schaduw. De pups hebben de tuin en kamer uitgebreid verkend en waren klaar voor wat nieuws. Dus hebben ze deze week hun eerste autoritjes gemaakt. Dit doorstaan ze allemaal goed en de nieuwe omgevingen worden met enthousiasme ontdekt. Ook hebben ze weer een aantal nieuwe honden ontmoet en natuurlijk weer veel mensen. De pups gaan overal open en met enthousiasme op af.
Naast de maaltijden vers vlees (we zitten op 4 maaltijden per dag) en de nog regelmatige melkgift van Summer, hebben de pups deze week ook hun eerste brokjes gegeten. Geen enkel probleem en met smaak verdwenen we brokjes naar binnen. Zoals je je kan voorstellen groeien ze nog steeds erg goed!

Dat ze nu meer verschillende dingen kunnen eten, maakte ook de weg vrij voor de eerste clickertraining. Echt de allereerste stapjes met het wennen aan één op één in een nieuwe ruimte, hier roepen, en de associatie leggen tussen het lekkers en de click. Alle pups verkennen gelijk dapper de nieuwe ruimte, komen gelijk als ze geroepen worden en wennen gemakkelijk aan het geluid van de clicker. Hier gaan we komende weken verder op bouwen!

A new week with new challenges! It is rather hot this week, so the pups have a 'tropical schedule' with more activity in the morning and evening and resting in the shadow in the afternoon. The pups have explored the garden and living room now fully and were ready for something new. So they made their first car rides this week. They tolerate the car rides and explore the new environments with enthusiasm. They have also met several new dogs and lots of new people. The pups approach everything open and enthusiastically.
Besides the meals with fresh meat (they get 4 meals per day now) and the regular milk meals from Summer, the pups have tried their first kibble this week. They liked it immediately and ate it with taste. As you can imagine, they are still growing very well!
Now they can eat more different things, enables us to try our hand/paws at the first clicker training. Really the first baby steps with first getting used to being  one-on-one in a new area, practicing coming when called and making the association between the treats and the click. The pups all explore the new area boldly, come immediately when called and get used easily to the sound of the clicker. We'll continue training from this basis in the next weeks.
