Litter 2009
1st week

De eerste week bestaat voor de pups voornamelijk uit drinken en slapen. Dat doen ze vol overgave en het resultaat is dan ook duidelijk. Alle pups groeien goed en hebben hun geboortegewicht meer dan verdubbeld. De pups ‘tijgeren’ al actief door de werpkist heen en laten zich duidelijk horen als het niet naar hun zin gaat. Het pigment komt bij een aantal pups al duidelijk zichtbaar door. Vooral de solids hebben al flink wat vlekjes op neus en voetzooltjes. Summer is zorgzaam en beschermend voor haar kroost. Ze is erg tolerant naar bekenden, maar vreemden worden goed in de gaten gehouden. Oma Magic mag regelmatig een kijkje komen nemen voor de werpkist en helpt heel af en toe mee met de verzorging van de pups. Zowel Summer als Magic vinden het nog geen tijd dat Dazzle ook mee mag helpen, dus die moet van een afstandje blijven kijken, maar mag wel steeds iets dichterbij.

The first week consists mainly of drinking and sleeping for the pups. They tend to these tasks with devotion and the results show clearly. All pups have grown well and more than doubled their birth weight. The pups crawl actively through the whelping box and let everybody hear when they don’t agree with something. The pigment is coming through on several pups. Especially the solids have many spots on their noses and feet already.

Summer is caring and protective over her pups. She is very tolerant towards acquaintances and friends, but weary about strangers. Grandmom Magic takes a look in the whelping box regularly and even helps with the care for the pups now and then. Both Summer and Magic don’t think it’s time yet for Dazzle to help, so she has to watch from a little distance, but she can come a little closer every time.
