The Famous litter
3rd week

Het ritme van de pups is deze week wat veranderd. Eten, slapen, eten is veranderd in eten, spelen, slapen, eten! Nadat ze hun buikjes vol hebben en allemaal klaar wakker zijn, begint het speelkwartiertje. Alle oortjes en oogjes zijn open, dus er is veel meer interactie. De pups waggelen door de werpkist heen, storten zich op elkaar, happen naar elkaars oren, neus of pootjes, kwispelen om het hardst en maken de gekste geluidjes. Ook speeltjes zijn nu interessant en worden af en toe gebeten, maar broer of zusjes zijn toch leuker. Na een paar minuten intensief spel, vallen ze allemaal weer op elkaar in slaap. Totdat Famy ze wakker maakt en te drinken geeft, en dan zijn ze klaar voor de volgende ronde!

Andere nieuwe dingen; Deze week zijn de tandjes doorgekomen, de nageltjes zijn voor de tweede keer uitgebreid geknipt en gevijld en de eerste teek is alweer verwijderd.

The day rythm of the pups has changed. Eating, sleeping, eating has changed to eating, playing, sleeping, eating! When they have their bellies full of warm milk and they are all wide awake, the play time starts! All ears and eyes are open now, so there is much more interaction. The pups waggle through the whelping box, crash onto each other, try to bite in each others ears, nose or paws, they wiggle their little tails as hard as they can and make the craziest noises. Toys are also interesting now and are sometimes bitten or pulled, but siblings are still more fun. After a few minutes of intensive playing, all pups fall asleep onto each other. Until Famy wakes and feeds them again, then they are ready for the next round!

Some other 'firsts' this week; the first teeth have come through and they will be soon ready for their first meals. Their nails have been clipped and manicured for the second time this week. And the first tick has been removed already.

We have the pups in our hands very often. Partly because of the socialisation, and partly because we just can't keep our hands off these cuties!! ;) March 30

Fantasy showed the very first play behaviour and I was lucky to catch it on some photos. March 28  She really mouthes her brother while making some growling sounds. March 28
